I think your son's already getting full enjoyment out of living so close with those beans. If they are looking distressed come planting time, don't worry too much: I have found that warm-weather-plant seeds planted outdoors after frost usually catch up to anything I started indoors.

It was a good time. I'd be happy to get together with the little ones, and to meet you, too! You name a time and place!

How fun! That looks like the type of trike I need to get for my little one. I think we should get together and let them explore together! That park looks really great. There are a few heron nesting areas around here and we see them flying over all summer. Only one has visited our pond so far luckily.

What a good gardener he is! It is such a good thing that you are letting him discover things on his own- planting extra is always a good idea! You are a very good mom!

He is pretty helpful ... most of the time. It's a work in progress this mothering thing, but I usually enjoy it. Ha! - Melanthia

He does look so cute and gentle with the seedlings. I have to remind myself sometimes to be patient with helpers in the garden. I remember once when my oldest was about 2 she brought me a tulip she had picked with the bulb still hanging off :)

Ouch! So far the plants have been relatively unharmed. But he's becoming more curious and determined! - Melanthia

He looks so cute and reverent in his job there. My daughter grumbles about helping me in the garden now but shows a ton of enthusiasm when harvest time comes. She's 13, grumbling is part of the territory I guess. I hope he always enjoys it.
-Heather

Thanks for visiting my other blog! I'm trying to get him hooked before he's too old to pick up. - Melanthia

Tessa: Awww, you're sweet. I really hope we can get the playhouse done. He's big into hiding places right now so it would be fun. The worms should be easy enough to house.

Catherine: Thanks for hopping over. This is going to be a totally casual blog, no pressure to post everyday (obviously). But things should pick up once the weather improves!
